We know there have been many questions and concerns shared recently about Imperial Beach Community Clinic (IBCC). We’d like to take a moment to speak directly to our patients, staff, and neighbors.
First and most importantly, IBCC is open and serving patients. We are not closing. Our team continues to provide care across all our locations, and we are here for you.
We acknowledge that the past few weeks have brought change. Like many healthcare organizations, we are navigating a period of transition in our leadership and operations. These changes are being made thoughtfully and with a clear goal: to strengthen our clinic, support our staff, and ensure our long-term ability to care for this community.
We are proud to welcome our new CEO, Dr. Albert Pacheco, who brings extensive experience in community health and a deep commitment to our mission. Hs is working closely with our board of Directors and the clinic team to stabilize operations, improve communication, and reinforce accountability at every level.
We also want to directly address some of the rumors circulating online:
- We are not closing. IBCC remains committed to providing accessible, compassionate care.
- We take concerns seriously. Whether from patients or staff, feedback helps us improve. We are actively listening and responding to ensure care remains safe and interrupted.
To our patients: If you’ve experienced a delay or disruption in care, we sincerely apologize. We are working with urgency to resolve issues and improve the patient experience. Out team is dedicated, and your health is our top priority.
We will continue to share updates as we move forward. Thank you for your trust – and for being part of this community we are so honored to serve. If you have questions, please direct them to info@ibclinic.org.
With gratitue,
Imperial Beach Community Clinic Leadership
